Westfield is increasingly involved in all type of  technology start-ups and some of them are already very successful despite recent economic recession. Also more and more business development projects with large companies are started then previous years. Due to these successes the portfolio of Westfield is becoming somewhat less focused and it is expected that Westfield will split its activities soon to new companies with a more recognizable identity.

 

In March a final progress meeting has been hold of the Smart Peas project of STW/ TU Delft. Westfield is one of the initiators of this project and member of the user group together with Siemens, Unilever and a couple of other companies. It is expected that some break-through technology will be developed for the process industry within 2 years from now. Current project is in its final phase though a new project with a considerable budget is being prepared to continue research and development for at least two years.

 

Westfield is urgently looking for senior business developers with industrial experience. Also excellent interim professionals are invited to join our network.
